Michael Dana Roberds

Michael Dana Roberds, 42, of Millersville, Missouri, passed away August 22, 2022, in St Louis, Missouri at Barnes Jewish Hospital surrounded by his family and many friends. Michael was born July 3, 1980, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Michael Roberds and Lisa McCourt.

Michael was a 1998 graduate of Bell City High School. On November 2, 2006, Michael and Shelly LeGrand were united in marriage in Cape Girardeau County, on a beautiful pond levee at Shelly’s parents’ property. Michael and Shelly were blessed with a son, Dalton James Roberds on June 8, 2009.

Michael was a Commercial Sales Manager for O’Reilly Auto Parts in Jackson, MO for four years prior to his health complications. He was a member of the Fruitland Community Church in Fruitland, MO. He was also Vice President, Treasurer and active member of the Auxiliary Fire Dept. in Millersville, MO. He loved spending time with his family, enjoying his friends, fishing, hunting, camping, and cooking.

Survivors include: his wife: Shelly; a son: Dalton; his father: Michael (Stepmom Susan) Roberds; one half-brother: Justin Warren of East Prairie, MO; his grandfather: Richard (Ella) Mitchem of Scott City, MO; grandmother: Judy Roberds; three aunts: Crystal (Todd) Gosche of Commerce, MO, Lisa Mitchem, Kim (Chuck) Morris; four uncles: David Roberds, Randy Roberds, Scott (Naoko) Mitchem, Russell Mitchem; six nieces and nephews: Justin (Kayla) LeGrand, Andrew Eftink, Susan Eftink, Ashlee (Ethen) Cochran, Kiley Stone, Kelsey Stone; four great nieces and nephews: Waylen Cochran, Abbie Cochran, Mason and Carson LeGrand.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Lisa Mitchem; his step-father: Rodney Mitchem; paternal grandmother: Carolyn (Larry) Cofer; maternal grandfather: Dana (Jean) McCourt; paternal grandfather: George Roberds.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Memorial Service will be held following the visitation at 5:00 PM at the Fruitland Community Church in Fruitland, MO.

Pastor Mike Parry will officiate.
