Navora Irene Bennett, 72, of Marble Hill, MO, passed away at her home on March 17, 2023. She was born September 23, 1950 to the late Calvin and Georgia (Wiggins) Townsend in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Navora and Bobby Bennett were united in marriage at their home in Marble Hill, MO, on July 4, 1998.
She was an avid quilter, and had a love for the finest of materials to make quilts. Sewing in general was her hobby, but her passion was hand quilting. She loved to sit on the porch and talk to anyone who stopped by to say hello and she would show everyone her quilts, her material and her flowers in the flower beds. In her later years she didn’t get out near as much, but the one thing that would bring her to town was Jay’s fried fish in Marble Hill, MO. Chocolate, bacon and brownies were three of the things that kept her happy, while she was watching the Golden Girls.
Navora is survived by: one daughter: Jill (Chris) Kennedy of Chula Vista, CA; two sisters: Jeronda Greer and Karen Stephens.
She was preceded in death by her husband;her parents; and two sisters: Cynthia Townsend and Teressa Deckard.
Navora’s wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, MO, is assisting the family with Ms. Novora’s final wishes.
