Nona Faye Smith "Faye"

Nona Faye Smith “Faye” passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. She was 83 years old.

Born on July 26, 1942, to John and Ulene Baker of Zalma, MO. She was married on August 23, 1968, to Roy H. Smith and they made their home in Marquand, MO. The lord called Roy home on January 20, 2024, at the age of 84.

Faye worked for many years until retirement for International Hat Factory in Marble Hill, MO. She was an avid Kentucky College Basketball and St. Louis Cardinals fan. She held a close relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her two children; Jennifer (Jerry) Holt of Jackson, MO, Derrick (Sarah) Smith of Barnhart, MO, Granddaughters;  Autumn Holt of Jackson, MO and Brooklynn Smith of Barnhart, MO, Brothers; Wayne (Linda) Baker of Bloomfield, MO, Fred (Pat) Baker of Cape Girardeau, MO, Sisters; Yvonne (Jim) Cato of Hazelwood, MO and Laverne (Dale) Owens of Purdin, MO.
Brother and Sister-in-laws; Don (Karen) Smith, Harold (Fay) Sides both of Millersville, MO, Doris (Harlan) Smothers of Gordonville, MO, Kenneth and the late Sharon Smith of Sedgewickville, MO, and several nieces and nephews.

Those honored to serve as Pallbearers: Elijah Mayfield, Caleb Smothers, Jerry Holt, Scott Smith, Jimmy Cato, and Jason Cato. Honorary Pallbearer: Fred Baker.

Services will be held on Sunday 24, 2025 at Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, MO. Visitation will be from 12:00pm – 2:00pm. Funeral Service will begin at 2:00pm, with Brother Jamie Hovis officiating. Burial will follow at Baker Cemetery in Marble Hill, MO.
