Patricia Lynn (Payne) Pengiel

Patricia Lynn Pengiel, 54, of Marble Hill, MO, passed away on November 5, 2023, in St. Louis, MO, at the Barnes Jewish Hospital. She was born on February 13, 1969, to the late Oral and Martha (Tinsley) Payne, in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Patricia was a huge fan of the Walking Dead. She liked dragons, tattoos, mystical fairies and collected porcelain Indian dolls. She enjoyed reading vampires books and drawing. It is safe to say, she did not like to cook. The kitchen was not where you would find Patricia, she would much rather be in Florida on the beach. She loved her grandchildren, and spending time with her family.

Patricia Payne and David Pengiel were united in marriage on July 23, 2011, in Cape Girardeau, MO, at the Good Shepard Lutheran Church.

She is survived by: her husband, David; three sons: Tyler Maloney of Marble Hill, Justin Maloney of Lake of the Ozarks, Dillan Stover; one daughter: Kirsten Maloney of Marble Hill; two brothers: Glen Payne of Scott City, Oral Payne Jr. of Kelso; two sisters: Judy Dannenmueller of Chaffee, Mary Palermo of Jackson; eight grandchildren: Olive, Josephine, Jayden, Jacob, Willow, Royce, Mason and Wyatt; and one great grandchild: Nova.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two children: Christopher and Sarah Maloney; and one brother: Eddie Payne.

The Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Missouri is in charge of the arrangements. Services will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Scott City, at the Lightner Cemetery.
