Rachel Ann (Whaley) Sweet

Rachel Ann Sweet, 58, of Allenville, Missouri, passed away on October 31, 2023, at her home. She was born on May 1, 1965, in Herculaneum, Missouri, to the late George and Donna (Jendrin) Whaley.

On September 18, 1980, Rachel married the love of her life, Mike Sweet. Rachel and Mike were inseparable during their 43 years of marriage. They had five children: Traccii, Michael, Kristie, Donna and Rachel Michelle.

Rachel was a lady of the outdoors. She loved to watch all the animals in nature, and doing so with her favorite beverage, coffee. The always kept up with the current events going on her world, and always checking on the children and grandchildren. Rachel was a homemaker, and spent the majority of her lifetime taking care of her family. A Godly Christian woman, she was always yearning to be back with her son, Michael, who preceded her in death. On October 31, she met joined him in Heaven.

She is survived by: her “Sweetie”, Mike; one son: Traccii Sweet of the home; three daughters: Kristie (Jacob) May of Chaffee, Donna Lowery both of Chaffee, MO, Rachel Michelle Sweet of Cape Girardeau, MO; two brothers: Tim (Kim) Whaley, George (Bonnie) Whaley; three sisters: Delynn (Rick) Parker, Diane (Jim) Swift, Theresa Whaley; five grandchildren: Makinsey, Joshua, Bennett, Lydia and Sarah.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; one son: Michael Sweet; four brothers: Seon, Tim, Stephen and Paul Whaley.

The Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Missouri is assisting the family during this time. A private family memorial has been set for a later date.
