Richard Lenn Luttrull passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, May 11th, in his beloved homeland of Bollinger County, Missouri—the same place where he was born, raised, and built a life of love and laughter.
Richard was the devoted husband of Carla, and with open arms and a full heart, he embraced the role of “bonus dad” to her two children, Amber and Dakota, whom he loved as his own. He was the proudest Pawpaw to a joyful crew of grandchildren—and even the neighborhood kids—each of whom added a bit of chaos and light to his world.
Richard loved hunting, fishing, swimming at Paw’s Creek with his family, raising chickens, and watching Bigfoot stories. A true food lover, he never missed a chance to enjoy a good meal—especially if it was his wife’s cooking—but he also made the best fried chicken around.
To know Richard was to know kindness, laughter, and unwavering support. He was a cherished friend, a shoulder to cry on, and someone whose presence could light up a room. But of all the roles he played in life, being Pawpaw was the one he treasured most.
He was preceded in death by his father, Perry Luttrull and mother and stepfather, Gene and Wanda Little; his brother, Noah Luttrull; and his sister, Ruth Ellen Luttrull.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Carla; his children, Amber (Mike) Vance and Dakota Hollingsworth; and his grandchildren, Addison, Kolton, Mikey, Kennedy, Roger, Kash, and Jasper. He is also survived by his stepmom Sheila Luttrull and brothers: Boo (Val) Luttrull, Donnie Luttrull, Vernon Luttrull, Clayton (Tammy) Luttrull, and Kyle (Meredith) Luttrull. He leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews, a longtime best friend and uncle, Robert (Regina) Garland, and a large extended family who adored him.
Richard was a true family man—loyal, generous, and full of heart. His legacy lives on in the love he gave, the stories he told, and the lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Services will be held at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, on Thursday, May 15, 2025. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. Funeral Service will begin at 6:00 pm, with Bro. Otis Long officiating.
