Robert Lee Swan, 66, of Advance, Mo., died August 13, 2021, at St Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born on April 10, 1955, he was the son of Woodrow Swan and Dorothy Martin Blevins.
He and Nancy Kennedy were married. She survives. He worked as a welder for Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies in Dexter, Mo.
As an avid Second Amendment supporter, he enjoyed hunting, marksmanship, and the NRA. He collected Civil War era firearms, prepared wild game dishes, perfected grilled steaks, and loved his family.
Motorcycles and treasure-hunting with his metal detector were other hobbies.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his mother, Dorothy Blevins of Marble Hill, Mo; by a son, Justin. (Tina) Swan of Bloomfield, Mo; by a daughter, Alicia Swan Jarrett of Puxico, Mo; a step-son, Lance Harrington of Advance; a step-daughter, Leslie (Chris) VanDorpe of Advance; by two brothers: Roy (Christy) Hammock and Paul (Dolores) Hammock; two sisters: Theresa (Dan) Lewis and Patricia (Doug) Stephens; four grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on August 24, 2021, at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Mo. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.. A memorial service will start at 6:00 p.m.
