Robert "Bob" Wayne Thiele

Robert Wayne “Bob” Thiele, 65, of Leopold, MO, passed away on August 31, 2023, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. Bob was born on March 7, 1958, to the late Glen and Ethel (Seiler) Thiele in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Bob was a 1976 graduate of Leopold High School. He attended St. John Catholic Church for the entirety of his life. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for 30 years and worked on the farm his entire life. He liked to hunt and fish, when the time permitted. He loved to eat ice cream with the grandkids.

On September 8, 1984, Robert and Georgia Hinkebein were united in marriage in Chaffee, MO, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Bob and Georgia were married nearly 39 years and had two wonderful children, Craig and Courtney.

Survivors include: his wife: Georgia; one son: Craig Thiele; one daughter: Courtney (J.D.) Fodge; one brother: Roger (Bonnie) Thiele all of Leopold, MO; four sisters: Glenda (Duane) Welter of Cape Girardeau, MO; Barbara (Roger) Bucher of Marble Hill, MO, Donna (Roger) Essner of Cape Girardeau, MO, Carol Thiele of Cape Girardeau, MO; two grandchildren: Anita and Briley Fodge; a number of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Ryan Dirnberger, David Hinkebein, David Thiele, Dustin Thiele, Micheal Essner and Tyler Essner.

The Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, MO is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 4, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The Knights of Columbus Council #5898 will lead the Rosary and Parish Prayers at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John Catholic Church in Leopold, MO, on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Leopold, MO.
