Roger Welker Obituary

Roger Edward Welker, 77, of Marble Hill, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on September 16, 2025.

Born on October 20, 1947, in Bollinger County, Roger spent most of his life in the community he loved, building a legacy of hard work, kindness, and devotion to family. He married his high school sweetheart, Brenda Sue Welker, and together they raised three beautiful children, creating a large and loving family rooted in strong values and care for one another.

Roger proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a dedicated veteran. His service was just one example of his lifelong commitment to protecting and providing for others a quality that defined his character.

A skilled mechanic by trade, Roger was a true family man, provider, a protector, and a father figure to many beyond just his own children. Known for his generous spirit and helping hands, he never met a stranger and was always ready to lend his time, tools, or wisdom to anyone in need.

He found joy in the simple things: gardening, sharing vegetables from his harvest, working on vehicles, and spending time with those he loved most. He was also an avid fan of local casinos, always up for a good time and a little luck, which brought him joy and plenty of stories to share with friends and family.

Roger was preceded in death by his beloved wife Brenda, his son Mark Welker, son-in-law Richard Luttrull, great-granddaughter Zoe Lynch, his parents Von and Opal Beatrice Welker, and his brother Ricky Welker.

He is survived by his devoted daughters, Carla Luttrull and Christy (Donny) Myers, and his daughter-in-law Heather Welker. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Amber (Mike) Vance, Dakota Hollingsworth, Richard (Cassie) Wolk-Harris, and Kristin (Harley) Logston, along with 14 great-grandchildren who brought him endless pride and joy.

Roger’s legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the love he gave, the hands he lent, and the family he built.
