Ronald Lynn Cook, 71, of Sedgewickville, Missouri, passed away on September 15, 2025. He was born on May 27, 1954, in Bonne Terre, MO, to the late Henry J. and Lucy I. (Johnson) Cook.
Ronald, fondly known by many as “RC”, lived a life deeply rooted in his love for cattle. He was a true “cattle gypsy,” traveling across several states to trade, buy, and haul cattle. His life revolved around the cattle industry, where his reputation, knowledge, and passion were unmatched. Beyond cattle, Ronald enjoyed traveling, renovating properties, building fences and lakes, and could often be heard saying his favorite phrase: “Nobody cares.” He also shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Bella, who was always by his side.
He is survived by his children: PeeWee (Denise) Cook, Johnny (Desirae) Cook, Lynda (Eric) Moseman, and Lisa (Kyle) Pridemore; his siblings: Ray (Teresa) Cook, Kenny (Beverly) Cook, Gina (Mike) Bueter, and Joyce (Mike) Estes; grandchildren: Derek, Colton, Tate, Koby, Rylee, Jaycee, Jaxon, Tilden, Aubrey and Lawsyn; and a great-grandchild: Texlynn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Cook.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include; Koby, Derek, Colton, Tate, Lawsyn, Jaxon, Tilden, and Kenny.
Services are being handled by the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, MO. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Sedgewickville Lutheran Cemetery.
