Roy Kenneth Cureton

Roy Kenneth Cureton, 79, of Marble Hill, passed away on November 14, 2023, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born on April 23, 1944, to the late Robert and Leoma (Skaggs) Cureton, in Bessville.

Roy worked in the local sawmills for most of his life. He was known to do a little farming, when he had enough of the lumber work. He spent a great deal of time with his family.

He is survived by one brother: Paul “Bead” Cureton; three sisters: Collen Cureton, Alleen Gromer, all of Marble Hill, MO, Modean Schaefers of Jefferson City, MO; and a great number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Bobby Gene Cureton, Troy Lee Cureton, and Lonnie Cureton; and one sister: Pauline Cureton.

Pallbearers will be: Doug Gromer, Gary Gromer, Billy Morris, Chris Green, Christopher Cureton and Derek Moore.

Services for Roy will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, MO. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm, with Bro. Jeff Wells officiating. Burial will follow at the Old Union Cemetery near Bessville.
