Roy Harold Smith

Roy Harold Smith of Marquand, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at the family home, he was 84 years of age. He was born on November 9, 1939, to the late William Ferdinand (Bill) and Gladys Ilene (Johnson) Smith, in Patton, MO.

He married Nona Faye Baker on August 23, 1968. He was blessed with two children, Derrick and Jennifer, and two beautiful granddaughters, Brooklynn and Autumn.

Roy was a farmer for 55 years and worked with his brother Don, with Smith Construction for 25 years.

He is survived by his wife: Faye Smith of the home; one son: Derrick (Sarah) Smith of Barnhart, MO; one daughter: Jennifer (Jerry) Holt of Jackson, MO; two granddaughters: Brooklynn Smith of Barnhart, MO, Autumn Holt of Jackson, MO; two brothers: Kenneth Smith of Sedgewickville, MO, Don (Karen) Smith of Millersville, MO; two sisters: Faye (Harold) Sides of Millersville, MO, Doris (Harlan) Smothers of Gordonville, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister-in-law: Sharon Smith.

Services for Roy will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024, at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Missouri. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm, with Bro. Don Estes officiating. Burial will follow in the Baker Cemetery near Marble Hill, MO.
