Stephen Odell Stevens, 61, of Marble Hill, Missouri, passed away on June 6, 2025. Born on February 14, 1964, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Stephen lived a life marked by service, devotion to family, and a love for the simple joys of life.
For over 20 years, Stephen worked with the Bollinger County Ambulance Service as an EMT and driver. He was also a proud and faithful member of Connection Point Church where he served on the Medical and Security team. He touched countless lives in moments of both crisis and care, always bringing calm and strength when it was needed most.
Stephen was an avid outdoorsman who loved deer hunting and collecting guns and knives. He never passed up a chance to fly the skies with his friend Jennings Bond. He especially treasured the time he spent traveling across the country in a semi with his wife, Cindy. At home, he was inseparable from his cherished Yorkie, Maizy and found joy in watching Ice Road Truckers.
Stephen is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Stevens; his sons, Derik Stevens and step-son Kody Moore; his step-daughter, Vyktoria Smith; his brother, Wayne (Frieda) Stevens; his sister, Brenda Tucker; his grandchildren: Jacob, Ryan, Lexie, Kami, Mhyia, Kase, Miles, Analia, Tatum, Katrina, and Phillip III; and three great-grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Odell Stephens; his mother, Margie Mae (Brown) Stephens; and his son, Kirk Stevens.
Stephen’s legacy is one of strength, loyalty, and heart. Whether caring for patients, sharing a laugh with family, or sitting quietly in the woods, he gave his full presence. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by family at a later date.
