Terry Lee Hagerling, 74, of Jackson, Mo., died Nov. 12, 2020, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Born on Sept. 13, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., he was the son of Hazel Maxine Bollinger and Charles Hagerling.
He married Barbara Ann Hale on Oct. 9, 1982. They made their home in Sparta, Ill., where Terry worked in maintenance for Sparta Light Metals. In 2009 they moved back to Missouri. Terry worked part time for five years at Walmart in Jackson. Barbara preceded him in death on Sept. 21, 2018.
Terry served in the United States Army in Europe from 1968 until 1970. The St Louis Cardinal baseball team was his favorite sports team and he loved to bowl. He was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Hagerling of Duquoin, Ill; by his mother, Hazel Hutson, of Marble Hill, Mo.; and by two brothers: Phillip (Barb) Hutson of Jackson, Mo., and Bradley (Joyce) Hutson of Altenburg, Mo. Besides his wife he was predeceased by his stepfather, Lloyd “Squeak” Hutson.
Graveside funeral services with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 16, 2020, at Baker Cemetery near Marble Hill. Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill is handling arrangements.
