Vernon "Butch" Glen Davenport

Vernon “Butch” Glen Davenport, 84, of Marble Hill, Missouri, passed away August 12, 2022, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born May 7, 1938, in Lutesville, Missouri to the late Glen and Dottie Mae (Stroder) Davenport.

On December 21, 1976, Vernon married Mary Francis Morgan. She preceded him in death, August 14, 2015. He was an outdoors man, he liked to deer and turkey hunt and was very fond of going catfishing.

Survivors include: two sons: Leroy (Tammy) Hiett of Marble Hill, MO, Mike Hiett of Pocahontas, MO; two step-brothers: Junior Davenport of Oklahoma, Ralph Davenport; one sister: Ladine Gateley of Marble Hill, MO; two grandchildren: Morgan Hiett and Mason Hiett.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Glen and Dottie; his wife: Mary; and one sister: Glenda Adams.

Memorial Service will be held August 20, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Grave Hill Cemetery, near Marble Hill, Missouri. Bro. Jack Leslie will officiate.
