Victor Alan Murray, 68, of Marble Hill, Missouri passed away at his home on January 28, 2025. He was born on February 6, 1956, in Iola, Kansas, to the late Ralph and Wanda (Lambeth) Murray. He was a graduate of Fort Scott High School.
Victor grew up in Kansas and later moved to Wyoming, where he met the love of his life, Doris Upchurch. They were married on May 26, 1978, in Casper, Wyoming. He wanted a little land to grow and build on, so he and Doris moved to Missouri to farm and raise their family.
He loved to build, farm and mechanic. Victor had the ability to build and fix nearly anything. He was a helping hand to everyone he met and a rock to his wife and three children, Karen, Lisa and Keith. Victor loved God and if you knew him, you knew his faith. He loved and lived for the truth and it became a natural part of every conversation. He loved to teach his children and grandchildren, and his life spoke as clearly as his words.
Survivors include his wife: Doris Murray; children: Karen (Sean) Melendy, Lisa (Chad) Lerwick, Keith (Holly) Murray; brothers: Don (Sharon) Murray, John (Becky) Murray, Roger Murray; sister-in-law: Wanda Murray; grandchildren: Tenielle, Haley, Danica, Dylan, Thomas, Keira, and Landon. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ron Murray.
The Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be held at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center, at 10:00 am on Monday, February 3, 2025.
After the graveside service there will be a pot luck lunch at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center directly behind the First Baptist Church at 502 Broadway St in Marble Hill. Meat and drinks will be provided.
