Willard Herbert Estes, 78, of Marble Hill, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Willard was born in Grassy, Missouri, on January 8, 1945, to the late James and Pearl (Newell) Estes.
Willard was a mechanic for the entirety of his life. He worked at Broadway Ford in St. Louis, Missouri until he moved back to Marble Hill. He opened his own mechanic shop in Glen Allen and ran the shop for nearly 15 years until he retired. Willard was a handyman to say the least, he always had side jobs and trades happening. He was especially known for his excellent paint jobs on cars. When Mr. Estes wasn’t working on a car, motorcycle or anything with an engine, he was playing music. Willard loved to play banjo and sing country music. He was also very fond of his dog “Daisy.”
Willard is survived by one son: Dwayne (Pam) Estes of Collinsville, IL; one daughter: Carla (Dwayne) Laramore of Desoto, MO; four nephews: Eddie (Teresa) Massa, Kenny (Angie) Massa, Clint (Debbie) Massa, David (Terry) Massa; one niece: Millie (Bob) Koeppel; six grandchildren: Blake, Jocelyn, Jaxson Estes, Courtney, Dustin and Ryan Laramore; and two great grandchildren: Brayden Noles and Jaden Laramore.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Arthur and Jody Estes; and one sister: Maria Massa.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 4th, 2023, at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM with Bro. Kenny Massa officiating. Mr. Estes will be buried at the Grassy Friendship Cemetery, in Grassy, Missouri.
