William Hiram Berry, 88, of Dittmer, Mo., died at his home on July 10, 2021. Born in Marble Hill, Mo., on October 2, 1932, he was the son of Pink A and Vicy Maud Lincoln Berry. He married Peggy J. Falkenrath in 1951. She preceded him in death.
He retired as a maintenance crewman with the Missouri Department of Transportation. He served in the Army during the Korean War, receiving a Bronze Service Star.
He is survived by a son, Craig (Tracy) Berry of Marble Hill; by a sister, Jeri Kenner of Marble Hill; by five grandchildren: Ashley Sullivan, Craig Glueck, Jr., Zachariah Glueck, Ocean Moriah, Dustin Berry, and Lynx Wiler; nine great-grandchildren; and was a father, grandfather and papa of Hearts to many others.
He was preceded in death by his wife and a daughter, Katrina Berry.
Graveside funeral services with military honors was conducted on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at Glen Allen Cemetery. Big River VFW Post 5331 and a military honors team conducted the military funeral service.
Hutchings Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
